Golang Job: Backend Engineer

At MASV, we believe that a great product can change the world. As video production moves the Cloud, we need to find new, fast and simple ways to help people quickly and easily move enormous video content from creator to client.

MASV (www.massive.io) is a large file transfer service used by film studios, broadcasters, creative agencies, and independent creators to deliver massive amounts of data by cloud.

We’re seeking a Back End Engineer who is passionate about automation and enabling development velocity for high performance development teams. If you’re interested in working at a high-growth start-up serving the biggest names in media and entertainment, MASV might be for you!

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• 5 years in a backend/API engineering role, no specific language.
• Expert in building and integrating REST APIs.
• A passion for software development and a desire to make an impact in the developer world.
• Strong empathy for customers.
• Strategic vision. You relate technology to use cases and envision a complete user experience.
• An entrepreneurial attitude. You invent solutions on the fly and are excited by new challenges.
• A commitment to great design and user experience.
• Experience with B2C and B2B SaaS products on web and mobile.
• Curiosity. You are a habitual learner who keeps up with trends and teaches yourself new things.
• Optimism and a motivation to build a better future.
• A sense of humour, exercised regularly.
• Admiration for companies like Stripe, Twilio, SendGrid, GitHub or others.
• Degree in computer-science or a related field.

Note: You must be a Canadian resident and legally eligible to work in Canada to apply.

What you can expect to do:

• Design, build, and maintain MASV APIs, services, and systems.
• Trouble-shoot issues on production and staging environments.
• Work with other engineers on our team to build new features at enormous scale.
• Champion and continuously improve engineering standards, tools, and processes.
